Dressing “like a teacher” has pretty much abolished any trendy style sense I might’ve had in another life. I rely almost solely on Stitch Fix to dress me August through May. You’d think this would make me more fashionable and adventurous, but… No. When school is not in session, I’m all about casual summer fashion! I’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, so my summer uniform fits that bill (when it’s not athleisure, of course!).

It is gosh darned HOT in Texas, so many days, my jeans and a t-shirt becomes shorts and a t-shirt, or even jeans and a tank top. I’m usually ready to “dress up” again by the time mid August rolls around, but I love the months of June and July for allowing me to make comfort king!

I usually throw on a pair of strappy sandals or classic sneakers and then finish the look with a small cross body bag, especially if I’m traveling. There’s nothing more annoying than lugging around a giant purse all summer! My philosophy is the lighter the better when the high is slated at 100 for the day. In fact, that’s exactly what the high is today, so you can bet this is exactly what I’m wearing with a messy bun piled high on the top of my head. 😉

I love strappy sandals but can’t wear flats without arch support they kill my feet. I love my Birkenstocks
I’ve never had a pair of Birkenstocks! A lot of my friends love them, so I might have to try them out.
I love those shorts! They look comfy 🙂
They are!! 🙂
I just bought a ton of new shorts for my first Texas summer!
They will come in very handy!
Love that color of green. Super great outfit!
Thank you, thank you! Love me some t-shirts!
