Last week was a nice little ease back into routine, but schedules and busyness really started to pick up this week. Lesson planning, faculty meetings, family visits, a lot going on! I didn’t keep up well with my Instagram (@teacherfit.jess) check-ins, but I promise I was still active!
Sunday, 8/20/17:
Muscle Recovery yoga on Beachbody on Demand. I needed it after the nine miles I ran the day before!
Monday, 8/21/17:
AM: I’ve been feeling like I’m really neglecting my upper body lately, so I planned an arms/chest/back/core workout for Monday morning. It was nice and I definitely felt the burn!
PM: I had high hopes for a run that didn’t feel like it was happening on the equator, but that was to no avail. It was a hot, sticky, and slow four miles, but it was done!

Tuesday, 8/22/17:
A total body workout followed by some quick ab work. Short and sweet!
Wednesday, 8/23/17:
AM: Another total body workout. Low(er) weight, high reps was the name of the game!
PM: Today’s run was a lot nicer than Monday’s run! It finally cooled off a little (86 degrees) and I was able to get a glimpse into what fall running will be like. I got in 3.25 miles and felt great afterward.
A booty and abs workout to round out the week! I used kettlebells, dumbbells, and bands, and it was a great workout!

Friday, 8/25/17:
Rest day.
Saturday, 8/26/17:
Speed work on the treadmill! I walked a quarter mile between intervals because it’s just easier to keep up with that way. By the end of the workout I had covered the distance of 6 miles and all run intervals were done 30-45 seconds faster than my goal pace.

Total Miles: 102.25 Miles
This week is going to be another busy one. I’m anticipating logging at least one training run on the treadmill, but I’m going to try hard to hit the streets before my 11 miler next Saturday!

I had a cut back week on my long run and I so enjoyed it. I got in a total of 11 miles that is running 3 times. It should be about 15 miles this week though. I’ll be out there with you on Saturday to log 9! Good luck!
