Hi, everyone! Today’s guest post is from Sella who blogs at The Mom’s Life Cycle! Sella and her husband, who live in France, recently took their toddler, Little K, on a birthday celebration at Disneyland Paris. She’s here to share information about toddler-friendly attractions at the park!

Toddler-Friendly Attractions at Disneyland Paris
Most people are familiar with Disneyland or Walt Disney World, as there are parks in many countries around the world such as Japan, Hong Kong, France, and of course the United States. As residents of France, we chose to visit Disneyland Paris. They feature two main parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney Studio. We chose to only visit Disneyland, as it would be a good choice for our little girl.
Like most parents, we searched for information online about toddler-friendly attractions. We wanted to know where to spend our time so we could be there all day and not miss a thing!
When we arrived, I personally had a few missions of my own. Firstly, I wanted to show Little K the wonderful parade and Disneyland fireworks. Secondly, I just wanted to let her enjoy the day as it was her first time to visit Disneyland.
As we entered, the first misson was almost complete. Why? Well, we were going to miss the fireworks because we couldn’t wait until 11 p.m. for the sun to go down. There would be no more trains, and Little K would be too tired! My second mission was also a success as not only Little K enjoyed it, but her papa and I did also!

Disneyland Paris is a large park with five main areas – Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Adventureland, Frontierland, and Mainstreet U.S.A. Here are a few of the attractions we visited:
DiscoveryLand:
- Autopia
This attraction features driving a futuristic car as it was envisioned in the 50s! It was so much fun!
- Nautilius Museum
This attraction is a submarine museum. On the inside, it’s a bit dark and designed to be very similar to the inside of a real submarine.
- Disneyland Railroad
This train connects each land within the park. It’s an easy form of transportation (besides walking) that allows you to sight see as well. We waited for 25 minutes to hop on the train from Discoveryland to head down to Fantasyland.
FantasyLand:
- La Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty Castle)
This is Sleeping Beauty’s castle, located just above the souvenir shop. You can see the entire park from here!
- Le Voyage de Pinocchio
This is a nine-person train that takes you on the journey of Pinocchio. It was dark and not my favorite!
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
This attraction was good and the queue wasn’t too long. You take a ride on an elephant and are able to control flying high or flying low.
- It’s a Small World (Recommended!)
We loved this attraction so much! The boat ride inside shows many dolls dressed differently and representing different countries. The lights were nice and we enjoyed the kid’s songs from the different countries.

- Le Pays de Contes de Fee (Recommended!)
This one is a bit like It’s a Small World, but is outdoors. It shows a short story of Belle’s village from Beauty and the Beast and other stories.
- Casey Jr. Le Petit Train Du Cirque (Recommended!)
This small roller coaster for the young children was a favorite of my toddler. We rode this one three times! Don’t worry, parents will enjoy this also.
- Le Carrousel de Lancelot (Recommended!)
Le Carrousel is the big merry-go-round with many horses. Everyone enjoys it, young or old, and it’s very safe. The queue was also very short!
AdventureLand:
- Adventure Isle
This one is good for a quick visit on a pirate ship. No need to wait to access this one!
- La Cabane des Robinson
The is similar to Adventure Isle, but is a tree house. Again, there’s no need to wait for a long time to explore this. Take your time exploring the kitchen, bedroom and other parts of the tree house.
Mainstreet U.S.A:
Mainstreet U.S.A. is the main entry of Disneyland with many shops and restaurants, as well as locations to watch some shows.
- Disney Parade
This is the Disney parade everyone was waiting for! We waited for about an hour before the parade began. You get to see many characters including Nemo, Elsa, and Anna!
- The Starlit Princess Waltz
This one is a new show for Disneyland. It combines a little magic and dance and features all of the princesses!
Each of these shows and attractions are toddler-friendly, but we didn’t get to make every attraction on our list. We would’ve liked to have done Peter Pan, met Mickey Mouse and the princesses, and see a few more shows. It seems one day isn’t enough to explore all that Disneyland has to offer! Maybe next time we’ll be able to try some of the things we missed.

We had lunch at Au Chalet De la Marionnette, one of the less expensive restaurants. It cost us around 35 euro for three meals. For myself, I ordered a hotdog and fries with a soft drink and no dessert. My hubby ordered the bagel with fries, a soft drink, and ice cream, but he could have eaten more (LOL). For Little K, we chose the small hot dog with fries, yogurt, and mineral water.
After checking all the shops, we decided not to buy a princess dress (they can be 30-80 euro or more!), and opted for a gold Disneyland coin for just 2 euro. Little K was happy with her coin too! After almost 12 hours in the park, it was time to head home. The three of us returned home happy and tan at the same time! What a great summer day in Disneyland.
Finally, I have a few tips for mom and dad if you’re planning your own trip to Disneyland Paris!
- If you forget to bring your own stroller, don’t worry! You can rent strollers on Mainstreet U.S.A. Wheelchairs are available too.
- Bring your own snacks and water bottles to the park. This will save money and time as you won’t have to wait in line.
- Always check the website for ticket promos to get a good deal!
- Arrive at the park with a plan of which rides you’d like to visit first, or be sure to check the wait time for each attraction.
- Arrive at the park as early as possible. That way, you’re more likey to enjoy more attractions in the morning when there are less people in the parks.
