It’s time for a life update for the month of November by way of what’s “currently” going on at the I Am Teacher Fit headquarters!
TOMORROW is the day! The day we hop on a plane and head to Walt Disney World. Sunday I will be running the Wine & Dine Half Marathon. I signed up for this race almost a year ago and I have been training since July. To say it’s been a long time coming is an understatement! And to say that I “currently” have all things Disney on the brain would also be an understatement.

Realizing… That I’ve done just about all I can do when it comes to this training cycle and this race. I’ve trained my heart out for the last four months and it’s time to show up and RUN! I’m nervous about running 13.1 miles, but I’m excited too.
Stirring… Up all kinds of day dreams about the fun my husband and I will get into this weekend! I’ve been to Walt Disney World a handful of times and my husband has been as well, but not since he was a child. I’m so ridiculously excited for our first trip together! Additionally, it’s the first time we’re hopping on a plane together since we’ve been married and only the second trip we’re taking just the two of us. Regardless of all the Disney magic, it’s going to be a wonderful time away together.
Appreciating… The fact that Disney vacations have to be planned SO far in advance. Almost every last detail of our trip is taken care of — heck — we even made our dining reservations six months ago! Because I have to write sub plans and do so many things to make sure my students are set up for the time away, I’m glad to not have trip details to stress over.
Investigating… Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop — a methodology by Lucy Calkins. My school recently switched gears concerning curriculum so I’ve been poring over these books for a few weeks. I’m trying to be the best I can be for my students and I hope I’ve prepared them well enough for the time I’m gone to Disney!

Following… The weather reports in Orlando for this weekend! I’m praying for the best of weather while we’re there, though I know we’re in for some rain. We don’t get a lot of rain in west Texas, so I really don’t mind it too much!
Question: What are you “currently” up to this first Wednesday of November?
Currently is a monthly link-up in which Anne and her co-host (this month it’s A Hopeful Hood!) invite us to share what’s “currently” going on in our day to day lives.

A trip to Disney sounds so fun! I’ve never been, but someday hope to go with my husband and fam 🙂 And as a former teacher, it’s so interesting to hear about the curriculum switch! Good luck with it all 🙂

Eek, how exciting! The big race you’ve been training for AND a trip with just your hubby. Go rock that run – sounds like you are ready!

I am jealous of your race! And ability to train! I suppose we all have the time, it’s just where we choose to prioritize it. I have done many marathons, but they are all from the couch! All the best!
