Good morning and HAPPY FRIDAY! I’m popping in quickly to celebrate today Friday Favorites style. Check out what I’m loving lately and share your favorites with me in the comments!
ONE // Spring Break!
At 4:00 today, I’ll be on Spring Break for the next week. This school year has been nothing short of great, but I’m so glad to have some time to rest. Who else is on Spring Break next week?
TWO // Half Marathon Training
I have just two long runs left before race day. I’ve enjoyed this training cycle so much and I can’t wait to run the Energy City Half Marathon in two weeks.
THREE // Studio Tone It Up
Everyone knows I’m a TIU girl to my core, but it took me some time to drink the Studio Tone It Up Koolaid. Now that I have, I don’t know why I was so reserved! It’s so easy to plan my workouts throughout the week and know exactly what I’ll be doing. Plus, it’s played a lot into the success of my training cycle. These workouts complement my running in the best way!
FOUR // Smoothies & Smoothie Bowls
With the weather warming up lately, my post-long run treat has been fruit filled smoothies and smoothie bowls! I just can’t get enough of them and I look forward to them after every run. I love recovering with a smoothie after my runs and feeling like I’m getting a sweet treat. I also love dressing them up before I dig in because they’re just so darn pretty.
FIVE // My Husband 🙂
Let’s be honest — he’s always a favorite. But I just wanted to take a moment to celebrate him because I know he’s been busting his tail lately. Though routines and the mundane day-to-day can make it easy to take things for granted, I pray I always show him the appreciation he deserves. As we round the corner heading to our two-year anniversary (next month!), not a day has gone by that he hasn’t had our best interests in mind with his decisions. He’s the best. 🙂

Enjoy your spring break! This is the time of year we really need it. Our’s is the Thurs-Mon around Easter, so we still have a few weeks to go. I took a personal day today because I have just HAD it and don’t have any patience left. I don’t feel like an effective teacher when that happens.

Oh my goodness I feel like spring break took forever to get here! I was so happy this morning knowing I could shut my 5 am alarm off for a week! Cheers to spring break!

Our son will be home for spring break next week, but (unfortunately) our still-in-HS daughter’s spring break isn’t for two weeks yet…so that’s when we’ll be heading to a warmer climate.

I’m a TIU girl as well, but I haven’t tried Studio Tone It Up yet. Mostly I’m too cheap to pay for it. 😀

That smoothie bowl looks delicious! I hope you enjoy your spring break. Our school district cut out spring break this year and instead the kids came back after Labor Day. It’s gonna be a long haul until summer!
