Today, I’m sharing my intentions and goals for the month of September 2018!

I think October is my favorite month of the year, but I sure do love September! Something about it just says “Fall!” to me–even though fall won’t arrive until much later this month. I get overwhelmed with this sense of go-get-it-ness and just want do do ALL THE THINGS! Anyone else? On a realistic note, though, 2018 hasn’t been the strongest year for me when it comes to reaching goals.
For that reason, I’m setting September intentions instead of goals. Sometimes the word “GOAL” can be big and scary and make me feel like I’m just setting myself up for failure. Failure is never fun, so the word “INTENTION” is more like a nudge in the right direction with the understanding that life happens!
ONE // Run two to three times a week.
I’ve so fallen off the regular running train and I’m dying to get back on! I don’t have any races on the calendar, but I feel better when my workouts are balanced and that means running regularly. I’m off to a good start this week and I really hope to keep up the momentum!
TWO // Keep the house clean with a regular schedule.
Monday, my husband and I spent some time cleaning the house–catching up on all the things we’ve been putting off for weeks (maybe more like months). Now that I’ve got a head start, I’m hoping to stay up on the cleaning throughout the week.
THREE // Leave work by 4:20 p.m. three days a week.
This school year is going to be a different animal than what I’m used to and I’ve been working myself to the bone since the first week of August. It’s 5:00 or later when I get home leaving my evenings shot. For the month of September, I’m going to try and utilize my planning periods as much as possible so I can get home early enough to do some things around the house… Like keep it clean!
