Today, I’m sharing my intentions and goals for the month of October 2018!
You guys, yesterday my baby sister turned 13 years old. THIRTEEN! That doesn’t seem possible to me and also makes me feel really old. I love that sweet girl though. We are heading to Smalltown USA to celebrate her special tomorrow and I’m excited to hug her neck!
In the meantime, I’m kicking off this Friday with some October Intentions. I love starting a new month by setting a few goals and looking back on what I’ve accomplished in the last month.
September was another busy month, and while I didn’t totally crush my goals, I didn’t leave them in the dust either. I averaged about two runs per week, but I didn’t get my mojo back like I’d hoped. I also didn’t keep to my regular cleaning schedule, but we managed to keep the house pretty clean. Finally, I did a pretty good job of leaving work at a reasonable time–mostly thanks to a “GO HOME!” alarm I’ve set for myself to get me out the door.
October Intentions
ONE // No more sodas!
I’m all about balance, and I enjoy a soda every now and then. But toward the end of last month, I developed a habit of drinking one as soon as I got to work. What is that about?! I’m not sure, but I know I wasn’t practicing moderation, so I’m trying to kick the habit for this month.

TWO // Finish two books.
I’m rereading the Harry Potter series because I enjoy it and it makes me happy. I’m almost finished with Chamber of Secrets right now, but I hope to knock out Prisoner of Azkaban by the end of the month too! Or maybe a non-fiction selection if I get a wild hair. Any suggestions? I’m open to them!

THREE // Enjoy the month of October.
October is a special month for us. It holds my husband’s birthday and birthdays of lots of other people! It’s always filled with fun memories, so I hope to simply enjoy the month of October before the end of year craziness starts to set in.
