Week 7 of my Run Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Training is complete! Check out the lessons I learned this week and how I’m moving forward.
Well, I survived another week of training and workouts. I also survived the first week (well, three days) of school! Are you tired of me talking about school starting yet?! I’m sorry, it’s consumed my brain these last few weeks, haha. Nevertheless, I still took some time to check out of my teacher persona and spend some time within my “fit” persona.
Sunday, 8/13/17:
I’m back to yoga Sundays! I had put PiYo on my schedule, but the day before Tone It Up did a live Instagram yoga flow, so I did that instead! There were a few rounds of upper body toning included and even my itty bitty 3-pounders had me shaking. It was definitely the most challenging home practice I’ve done in a very long time.
Monday, 8/14/17:
AM: Still on my Tone It Up kick, I did two quick total body workouts from YouTube as well as an ab workout! I did the 7 Day Slim Down Workout, Total Body Tone Up, and the abridged version of Tight & Toned Core!
PM: I had a run scheduled, but I got home about an hour later than I had planned and it was so hot. I just forced myself to do it on the treadmill and it wasn’t the greatest.

Tuesday, 8/15/17:
I did a total body barre style workout. I’m not the graceful being, so barre is always a struggle for me. I’m just not very good at it.
Wednesday, 8/16/17:
The first day of school!! I knew it would be a crazy, crazy day (it was good though!), so I wanted to get my run in early. I pounded it out on the treadmill and it was much better than Monday’s run. I had just enough time to fit in a little bit of upper body as well.
Thursday, 8/17/17:
Legs! Tone It Up’s Sculpt & Tone Booty routine featuring rock and roll squats.❤️❤️❤️ I also got in a quick cardio/standing abs routine! I really realized Thursday morning just how TIRED my body was from inservice last week and preparing for school to start. By the time my workout was over, I was really, really looking forward to rest day on Friday!

Friday, 8/18/17:
Rest day.
Saturday, 8/19/17:
I got up around 5:45 yesterday morning to prepare for my 9 miler. After some oatmeal and some AdvoCare Rehydrate (or in my case PRE-hydrate 😉 ) I headed out. I was nervous since my maintenance runs for the week weren’t ideal, but all in all it was a fantastic run. I finished a bit slower than I had hoped, stopped at home halfway through to use the restroom and refill my water bottle, but still had a 10:14 average pace. The last two miles were pretty difficult, but I still had enough juice left to kick it into gear at the end.

Great job this week! I’m sure that it was tough to make sure that you got all of your workouts in while adjusting to the new school year this week. Your dress from stitch fix is so cute! I’ll have to give them a try some time.

Our last child (almost 18 years in age LOL) goes back on Thursday for the start of her senior year. YIKES. hard to believe the school year is about to start…and hard to believe it’s her last year.

Aw that’s bittersweet for you, I’m sure!

Our youngest started his senior high school year on August 10th. I always appreciate the routine that back-to-school brings! That is a cute dress. I am using StitchFix too. Sometimes they nail it and other times…well. Nice job your workouts this week! I hope you have a wonderful school year.

Haha, agree with you on Stitch Fix! I find that a detailed Pinterest board helps keep them on target.

I am not tired of hearing about you going back to work. I am in the same boat. These next few days and weeks will be busy with getting ready and adjusting to a new routine.
