Wait a minute… It’s the last Friday in January?! How is that possible? I’m really not sure to be honest. January has been a crazy month and I’ve already deemed February as my opportunity for a “do over.” There were some bright spots though, so I’m celebrating some January favorites today!
ONE // Brooks PureCadence 6
Right before the end of the year, I ordered some new running shoes and by now I’ve taken them around the block a time or two. I’ve had a lot of trouble finding “the right shoe” for me, but so far these Brooks PureCadence 6 are doing their job!
At the beginning of the year, I wrote a fun post on some fun pieces of activewear that can be found on Amazon. I had no idea there were so many cute pieces on Amazon! Check it out!

THREE // Genuine Lies by Nora Roberts
I love to read and I love to challenge myself with my selections. Unfortunately, I’m not in a season of life right that’s allowing for a lot of challenge. Instead of ditching reading completely, I downloaded an easy Nora Roberts read and I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying it. Why am I surprised? I’m not sure about that because I flew through her bride quartet series a few years ago, haha.
Hubby and I watched this short docuseries in the first week of the new year and really enjoyed it! From the perspective of the four natural elements (fire, water, air, and earth) Michael Pollan explores the evolution of food. I highly recommend this one if you consider yourself a foodie!

FIVE // This shirt from The Blessed Nest
My MIL bought me this shirt (Black Friday, I think??) and it’s since become my Saturday favorite. It represents my hometown, little ole Snyder, Texas, and it’s comfortable to boot.
Question: What things have you loved this January?
I’m linking up with Momfessionals, Smidge of This, Meet at the Barre, Style Elixir, Fairytales and Fitness, and Running on Happy for all the fun Friday link-ups!

I love running in Brooke’s as well. And yes, I noticed amazon stepping up their game over the last couple months on activewear. I was pleasantly surprised especially with prime shipping.

I need to check out Cooked! We are huge foodies over here, and we love learning all about food. This sounds fabulous. Also, aren’t Brooks shoes the best?! I used to wear them all the time before my marathon, and I really love them! Happy weekend 🙂

I am with you! Haven’t had the best start to the year – nothing too bad, I just want to start over. So I am looking forward to Feb! Things I have loved this January though – I read my first book in years – The Mountain Between Us. An easy read, but exactly what I needed. Kids are back in school after the long summer break (we live in the Southern Hemisphere) so we have a lot more structure in the house which I love. 🙂

Im so glad I saw this. My mom desperately needs new running shoes (hers have holes and are at least a year old) but she can’t figure out what to get. I will show her those Brooks! Brooks are my favorite running shoes but I haven’t been able to get her to try them because she is cheap. I think she spent 20$ on the crappy pear she wears now and wonders why her feet hurt.

I”m loving that I felt ZERO guilt is not running much outside. Since it was my off-season, I just let the bitterly frigid days do their thing and I stayed inside. I’m loving the longer days!

I too can not believe it is the last week in January but then again i’ve been saying that at the end of every month lately..haha.
I read two good books this month, so that’s what I’m loving!

Wow. I need to watch that. I have such great memories of my grandmother and my mom cooking. I measure my childhood by some family favorites! I’d never heard of that series before. Thank you for sharing!

I’ve never worn Brooks. They are just a little too cushy for me. But I love their styles and colors!

I do enjoy easy entertaining reads. I would say those are the kinds of books I mostly read. The articles I read online is the heavy stuff!

I love Brooks as well and run in the Launch. I have 13 pairs! 🙂

I love my new New Balance shoes, though I have decided to only wear them at the gym. My new insoles don’t fit 100% and they cause some pain in my toe (which is the reason I have the insoles…). So now (so far) I am loving my new Merrell shoes that my insoles fit perfectly into 🙂
and maybe this sounds dumb, but … you know how your hair gets to a point and you think “I HAVE to get this mop cut!” but you make it over that hurdle and it starts to look good again? I made it over the hurdle and I’m loving my hair right now. I’ll probably hate it again next week 😀
