It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything beauty related, so today’s the day for that! Skincare has always been hit or miss for me. I want great skin, but I’m also incredibly lazy and don’t want to spend a lot of time on it.🤷🏻♀️😂 I try to keep my skincare simple, like most things in my life.
Most of these products can be found at your local Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, etc., but every now and then I’ll try something out at Ulta that I end up liking. If you have any tried and true methods for keeping your skin looking great, I’d love to hear about them! Like I’ve said before, I’m a product junkie, so I’m always looking to try something new!
Best Skincare Products for Simple Routines
Cleansers & Scrubs
Yes to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub
For the days I need that squeaky clean feeling, this is my first choice. I use this scrub about every two to three days. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do — scrubs — and it smells great, so that’s all I need! I alternate between this product and a cream product. If I exfoliate any more often than that, my skin starts to overproduce in the oil department.
Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser
On the days I don’t use a scrub, I use this Burt’s Bees cream cleanser. I’ve talked about it before, but I’m still using it and loving it! It lasts forever and is very hydrating. I’ve repurchased this product three or four times now.

Purity Made Simple by Philosophy is about as simple as it gets when it comes to skincare! This stuff is perfect to use every day, but is on the pricier side, so it’s not a regular buy for me.
I snagged this stuff on a whim one day while standing in line at Ulta waiting to pay. You know how that goes. 🙂 I needed a gentle cleanser for my travel bag, so decided to give this a shot. It’s definitely gentle, has very little scent, and leaves your skin clean! I like it, and should I stumble across the full-size version, I’d have no qualms purchasing it.
Moisturizers
Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer
I’ve been using this moisturizer for years. Right now I’m taking a hiatus from it, but there is a half empty bottle in my travel bag. Anytime I travel, that is what I use! I dab it on at the same time as my BB/CC cream and apply both at once.
Coola Mineral Face SPF 30 Cucumber Matte Finish
This is the moisturizer I’m using now. I’ve been wanting to try it for years, so I finally did. I was originally introduced to Coola through Birchbox years ago and loved their stuff. Every now and then I like to test out one of their products I haven’t used before.

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream
I’m admittedly no pro in the ant-wrinkle department, but I know I need something. I figure if this is as hydrating as it claims, that will take me a long way!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream
Again, no expert in anti-wrinkle treatments, but this is fairly inexpensive and not too heavy at the end of the night.
Other Skincare Products
Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes
I’m a big fan of makeup remover wipes and I actually order mine through Amazon Subscribe & Save! There have been times though when I’ve run out before the next shipment comes in and I’ll run out to Target for a pack or two. Like I said, I like my skincare to be simple and it doesn’t get much simpler than a soft wipe!

Because I’m a sucker for marketing, I tried out micellar water. The brand I tested initially didn’t agree well with my skin, but this Yes to Cotton variety has been great! It truly feels like water, but somehow takes off all my makeup and then some.
