Today, I’m recapping last week’s workouts. Join in as I share my lessons learned and how I’m moving forward. Tell me about your active week in the comments!
Hello! And happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you’re having a fantastic long weekend filled with food, family, and fun. Memorial Day is always fun because it feels like the official kick off to summer. This is especially true for me this year because I wrapped up the school year on Thursday! It was an exhausting week, but I still tried to stay active. Read on and tell me all about your activity this week in the comments!
Sunday, 5/20/18:
Cardio Flow. This workout has been amazing for keeping my endurance up while I haven’t been running. It’s never easy, but it works every part of my body in addition to keeping my heart rate in the fat burning zone and making me sweat like crazy!
I also announced in my Facebook group that I’m kicking off a *FREE* virtual bootcamp the day after Memorial Day. It’s one week of 30-minute workouts and tons of great nutrition information. If you’re interested I’d LOVE to have you. Reach out to me or fill out this form for more information!
Monday, 5/21/18:
Because this week was the last week of this phase of my program, I “said goodbye” to the workouts and their formats each day. Mondays in Phase 2 were spent working the booty. This workout was always a good one, but I’m excited to have a new one next week!

I saved Tuesday’s Cardio Core for after school, but it was still pretty difficult. I could feel the stress and the exhaustion from the end of the school year starting to take it’s toll.
Wednesday, 5/23/18:
Wednesday’s workout was Total Body Core. It left me so SPENT I couldn’t hold my coffee cup up for a sweaty selfie, haha. It probably didn’t help that I also woke up with a bit of an allergy/sinus headache. I guess it’s just that time of year.
Thursday, 5/24/18:
Again, Thursday’s workout was saved for the afternoon. It was leg day and I thought after sending my students off for summer break that morning would leave me invigorated and ready. I was wrong! I really didn’t want to do it, but I’m glad I did. My nutrition hasn’t been great lately and getting in a sweat helped me feel better.

Friday, 5/25/18:
The teachers had a work day Friday morning, so I went ahead and got my AAA workout in early. I got to school at 8:00 and before noon, my classroom was 100 percent packed up and ready to move. My school is restructuring divisions, which means I’m moving across campus! Thankfully, I don’t have to do the moving, but I had to do all the packing. I guess I got two workouts in on Friday. 😉
Saturday, 5/26/18:
Cardio Flow. See — I told you it left me sweaty! Last workout of Phase 2 — yahoo!
The coming week holds a lot of rest, a trip to the vet, and a chiropractic appointment. Hello, summer! I’m so glad you’re here. I guess there will be a little bit of blogging thrown in there too. 😉 Blogging took a backseat to #allthethings this week, and it felt good to take a break! I’m looking forward to giving it a bit more time over the summer though.

I am usually more motivated on the last day of school. I feel like a kid who has just taken his last final!
we use to be on a blogging schedule where we would post Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, and we did that all year long (including summers). A few months ago we started skipping our Wednesday posts cus we felt that we did not have a lot to say. Plus we’ve noticed that some other bloggers stopped posting on Wednesdays too, so thought perhaps not many people read blogs on Wednesdays??? IDK just a thought. We are definitely not opposed to blogging more in the summer though if we feel it is relevant! -M

I usually do blog less in the summer, but like Meranda said above, if I have more to say, I’ll post. I may also try recycling old posts. I’ve got one I’m updating for Tuesday.
Enjoy your time off school!

It’s hard to stay inside to write when its finally nice outside! So I definitely agree that it’s harder to blog in the summer…but on the other side, there’s more fun races to do (err, if I were running, that is.)

I think I probably keep up right about the same blogging schedule all year around. Looks like you had a really productive week!

Will you unpack and set up your new classroom when you return to school in the fall? I blog less during the summer as my weekends are pretty busy and that’s usually when I create posts and read blogs during the year. I hope you have a wonderful and restful summer. Thanks for linking!

I got the grill out yesterday and I grilled for the first time ever! This’ll make things a little bit easier this summer and let me move off the stove for a few meals.

I usually blog more during the summer, but it hasn’t happened so far this year. Lots of post ideas, just need to sit down and get them out!
