Habits of Longterm Health Review
Remember that habits are formed by following behaviors until they become almost voluntary. It’s unrealistic to expect yourself to make radical changes overnight. Embrace taking things one day at a time and build on your progress as habits develop.
Growth Mindset
Growth mindset is a concept I discuss with my students regularly. However, I think it’s something adults should take into consideration more often. Growth mindset is simply believing in yourself.

When developing habits for a healthy lifestyle, mindset plays a key role. Healthy habits begin with taking charge of yourself and your mindset and continuing to believe you can achieve your goals. A fixed mindset is one that believes you to be stuck–at a certain weight or size or perhaps running a certain pace. Fixed mindset tells you that no matter what you do that’s where you’ll always be. A growth mindset believes that you are capable of improving when you put in the work. If you track your calories and macros, you will lose weight! If you focus on speed work, your pace will improve! It’s a mindset shift in itself to take yourself from a fixed to a growth mindset. I suggest starting with the way you speak to yourself.

I was JUST talking about a growth mindset with someone the other day. The way you speak to yourself and the way you think really does make such a huge difference in how you grow!
