Happy Monday! This post hasn’t happened on a Monday in over a year, BUT life happened over the weekend, as is often the case. 🙂 So now on Monday evening, I’m recapping last week’s workouts and sharing my July goals.
Sunday, 6/24/18:
I officially wrapped up Phase 3 of 80 Day Obsession after taking Saturday to get some much needed rest. It was a sweaty and brutal lower body workout, but I was proud to say I had completed 74 workouts in the program and was more than ready to move on to the final 6.
Monday, 6/25/18:
Monday I started “Peak Week” aka the final week of 80 Day Obsession. It began with a AAA throwback to Phase 1. It was so fun to see how much progress I’ve made since the beginning of this program! However, I don’t think push-ups ever really get easier.

Tuesday, 6/26/18:
Cardio Flow–the final one! I’m glad to be done with this workout, but I can appreciate it for what it is–an endurance workout that is keeping me holding on until I can run again, as well as a weekly fitness test.
Wednesday, 6/27/18:
Keeping with the theme of “finals”, Wednesday was my final leg day for 80DO and another Phase 1 throwback. I was SO sore–quads, glutes, hamstrings–SO sore!!
Thursday, 6/28/18:
Despite the overwhelming soreness, I trucked through a total body workout and a short HIIT before dashing off to the airport to pick up my husband who had been enjoying a few days working in Canada. He said the cool weather was a nice, but stark, contrast to out 100+ temps!
Friday, 6/29/18:
Cardio day! I got up early to get it out of the way and didn’t do much the rest of the day. My husband and I hung out and both got a bit of work done. We did some grocery shopping, we did some cooking, and we just spent time together before I had to jet off the next morning.

Saturday, 6/30/18:
Because I had to drive 8 hours for a bridal shower I got up a lot earlier than I wanted to on Saturday! But nothing–I mean NOTHING–was going to stop me from completing Day 80 on Day 80! It was booty and it seriously worked me!
I really can’t put into words the sense of PRIDE I felt after completing that last workout. I have set out on many a fitness challenge/program and this is only the second one I’ve ever finished. Even with seven years of discipline, I’m not terribly disciplined when it comes to STICKING with something and seeing it through. This mental WIN is the biggest one I attained throughout this entire program.
ONE // Clean out the closet and send off to ThredUp
It’s that time again! About once a year I like to clean out my closet and get ride of things I don’t wear often. I hate walking into my closet and being overwhelmed by options that don’t fit quite right or I don’t really like. I’d rather have pieces I love that I know fit! So at some point this month I want to fill my ThredUp bag and get it scheduled for pick-up!
TWO // Focus on wise nutritional choices during travel
I am going to be traveling quite a bit during the month of July and that typically wreaks havoc on my nutrition. Part of that is travel being stressful and part of that is my not making good choices–so this month I hope to focus on making good choices! For me, this means being intentional about incorporating vegetables and lean protein!
