And just like that the first week of LIIFT4 has concluded! I was super excited to dive into this program and I’m super excited to share the journey with you all as I work my way through it! I’ll be honest, after completing B4 LIIFT4 last week, I thought I was ready. I got a (pleasant) little shock in the form of some serious soreness, ha! But it was a great week. Read on to see what it was like for me and tell me about your week in the comments!
Sunday, 7/15/18:
Rest day! I spent the day trying to get planned out for the week.
Monday, 7/16/18:
Monday was DAY 1 and I was excited to hop up and tackle it. LIIFT4 started out with an attack on the chest and triceps that was NO JOKE. The workout wrapped up with some HIIT intervals that had me gasping for breath–ha! But I still found it in my to head out for a quick run after ward. It was so nice to be out as the sun was rising and the world around me was coming to life.
Tuesday, 7/17/18:
Day 2 of LIIFT4 was a back and biceps circuit with no cardio. I would’ve preferred to tack my run from the previous day onto this workout, but I had a two hour drive waiting for me on the other side. I had a doctor appointment out of town and my husband decided to tag along. We had a quick lunch date before and an ice cream date before driving home for another two hours. Not super romantic, but time spent together nonetheless.
Wednesday, 7/18/18:
Wednesday is a scheduled rest day for LIIFT4, so I used the opportunity to go out for an early run and then do some some quick core work and extra stretching.
Thursday, 7/19/18:
I had another run scheduled for Thursday, but I slept in, so it was too hot by the time I got up. But the shoulders and intervals workout from LIIFT4 held plenty of cardio!
Friday, 7/20/18:
I made up the previous day’s run on the treadmill Friday morning. That’s not always my favorite thing to do, but it works and it went by quickly! Afterward, I completed Legs LIIFT 50/50 and I was SPENT by the end! Heavy lifts and intense intervals again, left me gasping for air. But I felt amazing afterward. I’m really enjoying this program, even though it’s just the first week! I’m excited to see the way the next seven play out.
Saturday, 7/21/18:
Yoga day! I had a slow morning with my husband, a couple of cups of coffee, and a new book. Later in the morning I got dressed for some yoga from the Beachbody Yoga Studio. It was a total body flow that stretched me out in all the right places!
I’m traveling for the next few days, so the challenge of working LIIFT4 into a busy lifestyle begins. Wish me luck!😜
