Today, I’m sharing what’s “currently” going on at the I Am Teacher Fit headquarters for the month of September 2018!

Hey! Hi! Hello! I hope this first Wednesday of a new month finds you well. I always love this time of year, as most “basic” girls do. Yeah, I said it. I’m basic — all about pumpkin spice, infinity scarves, and all things FALL. Sue me.🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, as I try to find my rhythm with blogging again, I figured sharing a “Currently” installment would only scoot things along. So, here we go! The “Currently-s” for the month of September.
STARTING // New routines. School has been in session now for about three full weeks. My 5th and 6th graders and I are still finding ourselves in our new routines. We transitioned from “intermediate school” to “middle school” over the summer and that’s a completely new animal for all of us. Lockers, 45-minute classes, block schedules, and going ALL IN on the curriculum we dipped our toes into last year. It’s been hectic and stressful, but I’m so looking forward to everything this year holds!
BUYING // Some new pretties from tarte! Well, not so much pretties as necessities. I set out to order some skincare goodies because I’m so lazy in that department, but threw in a lip color too so I could get free shipping. So looking forward to its arrival! Have you tried the tarte skincare products?

SHARING // Mid-length hairstyles over on Pinterest. I’ve been craving a chop lately because it’s just taking way too long to do anything with my hair. It’s longer than its been in years, but drying it and curling a few times a week is an undertaking — and not always one I’m willing to face on a Wednesday morning before work. I’m also looking at “curtain bangs” but I’m a little nervous about that part. I haven’t had bangs in a long, long time.
READING // Or rather rereading–the Harry Potter series. I got in some good reads over the summer, but once the school year starts I don’t always have the attention span for a new and intense story. I re-downloaded an old favorite in hopes of seeing things I didn’t notice the first time around. It will also put me in the right headspace for the Fantasy unit I’ll tackle with my students later in the year!

RECORDING // The Harry Potter back-to-school marathon. When I saw they’d be on TV last weekend, I set them all to record. I haven’t watched them in a couple of years, but now I’ve got them all waiting for me whenever I’m ready. Even Order of the Phoenix!–which for some reason has been hard to come across on television in the past.
Question: What are you up to on this first Wednesday of a new month?
I’m linking up with Anne for Currently!

Enjoy your Harry Potter movies when you get a chance. I’m almost finished with re-reading Chamber of Secrets, but in the illustrated format, which is just beautiful.

I’ve got mid-length hair for the first time in about 3 years (it was longer before this summer) and now I have to figure out what to do with it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ah, you’re making me want to pick up Harry Potter again too – it’s been a really long time, and I loved them…but I’m trying to save myself for reading them with my son in a couple of years when he’s old enough 🙂 And I just put in a Sephora order for some necessities along these same lines…but even if they’re “necessities” I’m still super excited for that mail day, ha!

I feel like I can always re-read Harry Potter and fall more in love with it each time! <3
