Today, I’m sharing what’s “currently” going on at the I Am Teacher Fit headquarters for the month of December 2018!
Well, hey there! It’s been a while — more than a month, in fact. November was kind of a crazy month that consisted of scrambling to finish grading before the end of our first term, preparing for Thanksgiving, and oh-so-much more! I guess that’s what happens around this time of year. A time that is meant to be slowed down and savored just gets bogged down with BUSY. For that reason, I’m striving to be more intentional with December.❤️ How about you?
GIFTING // Everyone on our list! We have a big family, so there are a lot of holiday gatherings — which means our list gets loooong. Thankfully, in the last couple of years, we’ve started White Elephant or name drawing at most of our celebrations. That helps a lot, but I’ve still got some ticking to do down my list!
BAKING // Nothing holiday-y. Some casseroles here and there, some cookies now and then, and some muffins for snacks throughout the week.
SINGING // ALL the Christmas music on Hanson’s Pandora Christmas station. Their Snowed In album has been my go-to every year around this time, but last year they released a brand new Christmas album! It is everything dreams are made of and when I don’t want to use data while traveling, I definitely listen to Finally It’s Christmas via iTunes. I highly recommend it!
MAILING // Well, to be honest, nothing. Man, I am so boring. We don’t do Christmas cards because A) who has time for that? and B) my husband believes that every time his picture is taken a piece of his soul leaves with it.🙄 When we have kids it will take an act of congress to have family pictures made.
DECORATING // Our home for Christmas! Or at least I’m trying to. We have been so busy that it’s taken me longer than I’d like to get around to it, but I’m trying! Hopefully by the end of the week I’ll have it all taken care of!
Question: What are you currently up to this first Wednesday of December?
I’m linking up with Anne for Currently!

I know – this time of year just does get BUSY and even though it’s often with all good stuff, it still takes being intentional to slow down. I’m working on it too! Definitely one thing that helps is doing the name exchange for gifts – we’ve started doing that with my siblings and my husband’s siblings, so that everyone buys a gift for just one person and takes the stress out of it a bit (but we still get to enjoy getting together and doing a gift exchange).
Hope you enjoy the season! 🙂

We don’t do Christmas cards either (LOL to how your husband feels about photos–mine feels the same!), and I’m impressed you find time for blogging amidst the busy end of the year teaching time!! You’re a rockstar!
