Today, I’m sharing what’s “currently” going on at the I Am Teacher Fit headquarters for the month of January 2019 and this brand new year!
HELLO and Happy New Year! This post is coming a few hours late because I’m still in vacation mode. However, I couldn’t resist kicking off the new year with one of my favorite posts of the month. What better than a little life update after a few weeks away?
CHOOSING // My next read! In the last week, I’ve finished two Ruth Ware books — The Lying Game and In a Dark, Dark Wood. I still have the last two Harry Potter books in my queue waiting to be reread, but obviously I love a good psychological thriller. Do you have any recommendations?
TIDYING // Practically our entire house. We dashed out of town on December 22 and just returned last night. That means all things Christmas are still in control and now there are gift boxes, luggage, and dirty clothes galore. Thankfully, I still have a few days off of work before returning to school.
RESOLVING // To do all of the “New Year” things. No, I don’t have a weight loss goal (since becoming pregnant, it’s been quite the opposite!), but I need to be more mindful of my food choices and my WATER CONSUMPTION!
EXPLORING // Nothing, aside from the inside of my laundry room. However, a few days ago, we were exploring Washington through a series of hikes in DuPont and Tumwater Falls! It was so pretty up there (nothing like our West Texas home) and I’m glad we got to experience it.
REFRESHING // My wardrobe. I’m hitting that stage of pregnancy when my clothes are struggling to fit. Teaching isn’t a job that allows me to wear sweats or yoga pants everyday, so something has to be done. Thanks to some Christmas gift cards, I’ll be doing some shopping soon. If you have any maternity favorites, send them my way!
Question: What are you up to this first Wednesday of January and a brand new year?
I’m linking up with Anne for Currently!

Congratulations! I get how important it is to make healthy eating choices when you just want to eat all the things!

I am not having a baby, so weight loss is definitely something I’m focused on this year, but it’s kind of an ongoing thing, so it’s not exactly a NEW goal. It’s just that the holidays tend to throw me off. lol I love a good psychological thriller. I hear Watching You by Lisa Jewell is awesome; it just came out.

The latest books I enjoyed were Our House and Crimson Lake. Happy New Year!

Target’s maternity line is on point right now. I’ve snagged a couple of good things there last month. Old Navy is a hit and miss on their sizing. One pair of pants were way to big and so I got the next size down and they were way too small. I must be in a weird stage of pregnancy right now.

I’m all about choosing my next read too! Have you read One of Us Is Lying? Not as intense of a psychological thriller (it’s YA), but I found it a really fun read at the end of last year. I also really liked Sweet Little Lies and The Perfect Mother. And I’m all about the water consumption right now too.
Love your cute bump 🙂

Your bump is adorable! I loved PinkBlush items when I was pregnant. Good luck with all the Christmas things! Finding homes for everything can always be a challenge!

I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried ThredUp but its an online consignment shop. Most of the time I get barely used or brand new clothing for a fraction of the price. I’ve gained some weight and had to buy all new clothes and saved so much money using them.
