Today, I’m sharing what’s “currently” going on in our lives for the month of March 2019!
Happy Monday! In fact, happy first Monday of March! Today, I am counting down the days until Spring Break (just 5 more days!) and sharing what’s “currently” going on in our lives. These last few months have felt like a total whirlwind, so sometimes it’s nice to slow down and assess the here and now. I have a habit of getting into total “planning mode” that I feel like I wish away the present. These reflections allow me to stop and smell the roses and I hope you do too. What are you up to this first week of March? Share in the comments!
SCHEMING // A Disney 2020 trip! You might be rolling your eyes at this. Don’t worry–my husband certainly is! However, if you’ve ever planned a Disney vacation, you know it’s worthwhile (if now 100 percent necessary) to plan in advance! Our baby girl will turn a year old in summer 2020 and I would love NOTHING more than to celebrate her in WDW and hopefully begin cultivating a lifelong Disney love like the one I have.
As an aside, I’m also SCHEMING ways to pass my glucose test later this week. I’m not sure why, but I’m really afraid of failing it! If you have any tips this first-time mama will hear them!

READING // On Becoming Babywise. If you’ve read this, I’d love to hear your thoughts/feedback! I know there are a lot of mixed reviews from parents on the Babywise method, but to us it’s worth the research. I’ll be going back to work in August, so quality sleep and a schedule is a must for us as parents, and for baby in the long run.
BUYING // Too many baby girl clothes! Seriously, someone take away my credit card! Wait… That won’t help much. Disconnect my saved payment methods from all my accounts and PayPal while you’re at it!🤣 Truthfully, my husband is having more fun than I am. He hunts down all the best deals on Amazon. I’m totally impressed by the cuteness of the things he has showing up on our doorstep!
MAKING // Plans for March. Spring Break is next week (Hallelujah!) and I’m going to use the extra time to get some things organized around the house. Each year I clean out the closets and drawers during SB, so I’ll be doing that in addition to making more room for baby.

ACCOMPLISHING // Some school related things, like cataloging my classroom library. In January, I mentioned I REALLY needed to level and sort through a lot of books for my students. Well, that didn’t happen, nor did it happen in February. BUT! Last week, between the time of ending a grading period and rushing to get grades in for the new one, I was able to knock out a handful of books. I should have time to fit in a few more later this week as well.
Question: What are you “currently” up to this first week of March?
I’m linking this post up with Anne for her monthly “Currently” link up!

A Disney trip is always fun to plan no matter when you are planning on going! It helps make the magic last even longer! 🙂 {Plus you have to consider matching shirts and things like that too!}
Anne says
Awww, that sounds like the perfect scheme! And baby girl clothes are simply irresistible – you can’t be blamed 🙂

Baby sleep is hard, I’ve found, no matter how stringent I am with a schedule. For those who say schedules and routines work, they do work. But it all depends on the baby. If they have a baby who doesn’t follow a schedule so closely, they wouldn’t be bragging about it lol.
I read a book on self-soothing (by Nina Garcia) and it was very helpful, but I didn’t start that until 4 months.

Baby girl clothes are so gorgeous!

You go right ahead and plan those vacay days and buy those baby girl clothes. I did the same thing (nearly 14 years ago!) and I don’t regret a single thing! Girls are SO. MUCH. FUN!

I had to laugh about your credit card comment…..I froze my credit card once because I had read somewhere that was a good idea. ha! I’ve had my card number memorized ever since!! I always went way overboard with the girl clothes!!
