It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of the first week of April! Spring is here and summer is well on its way. Around this time of the year, many people, myself included start to freshen up their beauty routines. Here you’ll find some new additions to my beauty routine that have quickly become spring beauty favorites!
My beauty routine is pretty simple and I try to keep it that way. Every now and then I’ll mix it up, but for the most part, I try to only spend about 20 minutes a day getting ready between both my hair and makeup. That said, these products help me get it done quickly!
1 // Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser
This is a perfect gentle cleanser! Its thick, creamy texture gives back a lot of moisture, but leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean. I am typically a facial scrub girl (I still use one about every other day!), but this is probably my favorite facial cleanser I’ve ever used.
2 // Tom’s of Maine Long Lasting Deodorant
In recent years, I’ve become more aware of ingredients in my every day products. I picked up my first stick of aluminum free deodorant and have been pleasantly surprised with it. I’m using the fresh apricot scent and it smells great! For me, it doesn’t last the full 24 hours, but that’s usually not a huge deal breaker. I can stand to make it through my 5 a.m. workout without smelling like fruit. I also haven’t noticed myself sweating anymore than when I use standard deodorant.
3 // Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream
Who doesn’t love Neutrogena? One of the hardest things for me in my adult life has been establishing a nighttime skin care routine. I don’t want multi-step and complicated. I want something I can slap on my face in 10 seconds and crawl in bed. This cream is about as basic as it gets. It also doesn’t feel super heavy, which I like.
This is my new favorite mascara! It’s the type with the spiky brush, so it really spreads your lashes out. It reminds me a lot of Benefit They’re Real!, but I found that line to be very harsh on my eyelashes. This is much more gentle, but just as pretty. I’m a big fan of tarte products, and I’ll definitely be purchasing this again.
5 // pixi by petra Endless Silky Eye Pen
I’m always hunting for the perfect eye liner. This one that I picked up at Target is definitely true to its name. It’s so silky when it glides on and it stays all day! Eye liner plays a key role in helping me look awake during the day. This reminds me a lot of Urban Decay’s 24/7 eye pencils, but at a better price point.
Your turn: What additions and refreshes are you making to your beauty routine this spring?
I’m linking up today for 5 on Friday!
